Flow Tester Privacy Policy

XZT Fluid Technology ("we") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Flow Tester app and explains how the app processes relevant data when providing Bluetooth device connectivity, measurement display, local data storage, file import and export, and sharing features. Flow Tester is a standalone app that requires no registration or login. All business data is processed locally on the current device.

1. Data processed by the app

1. Bluetooth device information: To discover, connect to, and configure Flow Tester measurement devices, the app locally processes device names, Bluetooth identifiers (such as a MAC address or a system-assigned UUID), signal strength, battery level, device number, hardware version, firmware version, measurement units, and device settings.

2. Measurement data: The app locally processes and stores flow, pressure, temperature, power, and corresponding timestamps sent by the device. This data is used to display real-time values, draw charts, query historical records, and export data.

3. File data: The app accesses a CSV file and its selected location only when you actively select, import, preview, export, save, or share that file.

4. Operational information: The app may locally read the operating system type, app version, interface language, screen size, Bluetooth status, and authorization status to adapt the interface, determine feature availability, and display troubleshooting messages. This information is used only on the device.

2. System permissions and purposes

1. Bluetooth or Nearby Devices: Used to discover, connect to, communicate with, and configure Flow Tester measurement devices. Bluetooth-related features cannot operate if this permission is denied.

2. Location: On certain older Android versions, Bluetooth Low Energy scanning is associated with location permission. The app requests this permission only to satisfy the operating system requirement for Bluetooth scanning and does not read, infer, or store your precise location.

3. File access: The app uses the system file picker, save interface, or share sheet to process files you actively select. The app does not proactively access files unrelated to the current operation.

3. Data storage and retention

1. Measurement records, device information, and related settings are stored in local storage or a local database on the current device.

2. CSV files are stored in the app directory or a local folder you actively select. You determine how long files are retained, and the app does not automatically send them elsewhere.

4. Data deletion

1. You can clear local measurement records from the data query page and delete CSV files managed by the app from the file page.

2. You can also clear app data in system settings or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes data from the app-private directory. Files exported to public folders or shared with other apps must be deleted by you from those locations.

5. Data sharing

The app does not automatically share your device information or measurement data with other parties. A selected CSV file is sent to a recipient only when you tap Share and choose that recipient in the system share sheet. The recipient's subsequent handling of the file is subject to its own rules.

6. Your choices and rights

1. You can revoke Bluetooth, Nearby Devices, or location permission in iOS or Android system settings. Revoking permission does not affect data already stored locally, but the corresponding features may no longer work.

2. The app does not provide user accounts. You can directly view, export, or delete data stored by the app on the current device. If you have questions about data processing, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

7. Data security

We follow the principle of data minimization and process only the data necessary to provide clearly defined features. Please secure your device and exported files and share files only with trusted recipients.

8. Children's privacy

Flow Tester is a tool intended for professional measurement scenarios. It is not directed to children, and the app does not knowingly process children's personal information.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy due to changes in app features, laws and regulations, or platform requirements. The updated policy will be published in the app and will state the new effective or update date.
